Check your funded course eligibility

Answer a few quick questions and we'll check your postcode against the official adult skills funding dataset, then match you with a suitable training provider.

Step 1 of 5Location

Funding is decided by where you live, so we check your postcode against the official funding dataset.

How the funded course eligibility check works

Your result is indicative and helps you explore options. It is not an offer of a place or funding, and it is subject to provider confirmation. A training provider confirms the final details.

What this checker tells you

It gives an indicative result based on your postcode and the answers you provide. It can suggest whether you may be eligible and point you toward suitable training providers. It does not confirm funding or a place.

Who confirms funding and eligibility?

Learning Gateway helps match your enquiry with suitable providers — we do not make the final eligibility or funding decision. A training provider confirms your eligibility, funding, course availability and enrolment, subject to their checks.

What happens after you submit?

Submitting the form is an enquiry and referral step, not a guarantee of a funded place. Your details may be used to match you with suitable provider options. A provider may contact you by email or phone, usually within a few working days, to talk through options and any evidence you may need.

Why your location and circumstances matter

Funding and availability depend on your circumstances, location, postcode, funding route and provider, and some areas of England have devolved adult education funding. For 2026 to 2027, Adult Skills Fund rules cite a low-wage threshold of £26,800 gross a year for many routes, but being under it does not by itself mean you will be funded — a training provider confirms how the rules apply to you.
