What is the Level 2 mental health awareness course?
It is an online Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, usually studied over about 7 weeks. The current Learning Curve Group page lists thirteen units covering conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD and OCD. It is an awareness qualification, not counsellor training. Funding depends on the provider Pre-Check.
This course focuses on signs, symptoms and a broader understanding of mental health conditions and neurodiversity. It is an introductory awareness qualification, not a clinical or counselling licence.
Learning Curve Group's current page lists thirteen units, each focused on a different condition or theme, and notes that the knowledge can apply across a range of sectors and roles.
If you already hold this exact Level 2 certificate, you should not enrol on the men's mental health variant that awards the same qualification.
Learning Gateway is not the training provider. These courses are available through our training-provider network. Funding and final eligibility are confirmed by the provider.

Final funding eligibility is determined through Learning Curve Group's Pre-Check and can vary by your circumstances, where you live, the funding route and provider availability. UK Learning Gateway does not override the provider's decision.
Availability and funding can depend on where you live. The provider's Pre-Check will confirm the options available for your postcode.
